“1000-Lb. Sisters” Star Amy Slaton was bitten by a camel during her catastrophic visit to a safari zoo this week… or so her lawyer is claiming.
Taylor HughesA lawyer for the TLC personality has hit back at the zoo owner’s claims Jon Conley …which cast doubt on whether the reality TV star’s injury before his arrest was caused by a camel.
However, Amy is sticking to her story… with her lawyer assuring TMZ that she was “bitten by a camel at the zoo.”
Despite Amy’s recent court appearance to resolve legal issues — she was arrested Monday for alleged drug possession and child endangerment — her attorney noted that there were no updates to share in the highly publicized case… including an update on custody of her two children. Glenn and Calibrate.
Hughes expressed Amy’s gratitude to her fans, who have sent “love and support” during this difficult time.
As TMZ previously reported… Amy was reserved in Tennessee on Labor Day after an incident at the Alamo Safari Park. Officers initially arrived on the scene after a zoo employee called to say a visitor had been bitten by one of the animals…namely, a camel.
Amy was taken on a stretcher …and was later booked after psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana were allegedly discovered in plain sight in her car…with two children inside the vehicle.
As photos of Amy’s injury began to surface, the zoo owner claimed there was no way a camel bite could have caused such a cut… citing the lack of injured tissue as evidence.
ONE chunk of a he-said, she-said situation at the moment… but Amy has more important matters to focus on, to be honest.
