A company called US Armor Group is offering an armored vehicle Lucid Sapphire of Air.
With a starting price of $475,000, it’s nearly double the price of a regular Air Sapphire, but what you get for that extra cash could save your life, depending on how much danger stalks you on a regular basis.
US Armor Group said it focused on integration armor and ballistic windows for the vehicle. All the windows have been replaced with a transparent shield that can stop a .44 Magnum round.
For the body, including all doors, protection comes from composite armor. The company claims that this military grade armor is 10 times stronger than ballistic steel but five times lighter. The added weight is just 385 pounds, the company said. A more durable level of protection is also available if your commute could include attacks from heavy rifles, grenades or explosive devices.
