Ellen DeGeneres will probably be laughing all the way to the bank after selling his sprawling California estate for a sky-high price.
In response to property data … obtained by The Wall Street Journal …the TV character and her husband, Portia de Rossipurchased their 10-acre Santa Barbara County estate for a whopping $96 million.
The couple bought the home for $70 million again in 2022 and reportedly bought it for the mining magnate. Robert Friedland.
The businessman is set to name the Tuscan-style mansion in Carpinteria as … which boasts 9,000 square feet of living space, five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, hardwood floors, stone archways, walk-in closets, access to a private beach and more luxurious amenities.
We don’t know how much money Ellen has invested in the home since she bought it, but the $96 million price tag likely means she’s making a considerable income — which she’s already investing in a new property.
Ellen and Robert have done a house swap of sorts… according to the WSJ, she is repurchasing a Santa Barbara home she bought for him earlier this year. She reportedly paid $32 million for the home, which was built in 1919 and sits on 8 acres.
Ellen and Portia will need to have big plans for the property… plus, they purchased a 3-acre lot next door for $6 million, so we sense a major home renovation in their future.
Santa Barbara County Contractors Love Ellen!
