Applegate shared her circumstances for appearing on the series and who she would like to have on the crew and as captain.
Cristina Applegate is staying on land… for now.
The 52-year-old actress revealed on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend that she received a constitution in Below deckhowever, he appears to have refused.
However, Applegate shared what it will take for her to say yes.
“So everyone knows that I really like Below deck,” she tweeted. “They recently asked me to go back and do a constitution. The only way to do that is if your entire interior is Kate, Aisha, Daisy and Frazier. I don’t want a chef. Oh yes I do. Rachel.”
“After that, we just watched movies together at the major,” she continued, before listing her alternative for captain. “And any of our captains. Sandy, Jason, Glen, Kerry. And just to spice it up for my wife Daisy, your guys.”

The tweet was met with an outpouring of support from followers and other Bravo fans, with one begging the community to step in: “@BravoTV MAKE THIS HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY.”

Applegate’s tweet comes after the Useless to me star revealed that she uses reality TV to treat multiple sclerosis.

“I think reality TV is really helpful, that’s kind of it for me,” Applegate, who was diagnosed with the condition in June 2021, said while appearing on James Corden’s SiriusXM show. This life of mine last week. “Anyone who knows me well knows that it’s on 24/7 in my room because I don’t leave my room very often. I know that sounds really miserable, but it’s kind of like, I need to sleep normally.”
As for her favorite shows, Applegate said that while she loves “everything” about reality, it’s Below deck which is up there for her, as well as some of the classics like Vanderpump Guidelines and housewives.
“Give me anything,” she joked. “Give me a Vanderpump (Rules), give me a Below deckgive me a housewife (for real), give me even Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay — I’m going to watch like 9 seasons of this in two days.”
Applegate continued, “I really enjoy watching the imperfections of real individuals, actually. Like, wow, these individuals exist, I really enjoy that. That’s why I really enjoy reality TV, because they scare me, they walk around the Earth looking like that.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Applegate mentioned her struggle with the disease and the day she got her prognosis.
“Yeah, it sucked. I was feeling so bad for so many months,” Applegate began, before Corden questioned whether she was “ignoring” her feelings of malaise.
“For years and years and years,” she said, before listing signs like balance issues, speech impediments, tremors in her arms and sometimes her knee would “go out” during tennis.
However, she would find excuses to shed light on what was going on. It wasn’t until January 2021 that she was tested for the condition after experiencing a “bizarre muscle spasm” while hiking, with her doctor breaking the news of Applegate’s prognosis to the actress over a video call.

“I opened my Zoom and there he was and he just looked at me and he was like, ‘I’m sorry,’ and I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ and he was like, ‘This is a picture of your mind. I’m sorry,’ and there were like 30 injuries in my mind and I was like, ‘No, please don’t tell me that. Please don’t tell me that,’” she said.
Since then, she has found a way to work through the ups and downs of the disease, Messy podcast with Jamie-Lynn Sigler — who was also diagnosed with MS.
“I’ve been playing a character named Christina for 40 years, who I wanted everyone to think was me because it’s easier,” Applegate said during the couple’s exciting conversation with GMARobin Roberts, in February, admitted that she’s opening up in a way she never has before. “But this is, it’s kind of my coming out party. Like, this is… the person I’ve been this whole time. I was kind of faking it for everybody for so long because I just thought it was easier — be nice, be funny… don’t make people uncomfortable. And I don’t care anymore.”
