1. Katie Boulter and Alex De Minaur
This year, Britain’s Katie Boulter and Australia’s Alex De Minaur made their Olympic tennis debuts in Paris. The couple have been dating since March 2020 after meeting while staying at the same resort. Katie defined that she had heard that Alex was a “good and humble” man through mutual friends, and after having coffee together, she knew she was “in it for the long haul.”

2. Lara Vadlau and Lea Schüller
German soccer player Lea Schüller has been dating Austrian sailor Lara Vadlau since 2019. While this marks Lara’s third time competing in the Olympics, Lara just made her debut with Team Germany. The couple now live together in Munich, but since they’re both professional athletes, they only get to see each other “for 3 to 5 days at a time.” Despite their limited time together, Lara says dating another athlete helps them understand each other.
“I’ve found it’s really helpful because we each realize what you need to do with your sport, that you’re away for a bit and you don’t see each other as much. Otherwise, it can be really difficult,” Lara shared with FC Bayern.
Lea and her group have reached the quarterfinals and could face Canada on Saturday. Lara, meanwhile, competed in her first race on Friday.

3. Lee Kiefer and Gerek Meinhardt
Lee Kiefer and Gerek Meinhardt have been dubbed the ultimate couple in U.S. Fencing. After meeting at junior level competitions as youngsters, they honestly started to fall for each other when they were both at the 2012 London Olympics. They went to the University of Notre Dame together and then went on to medical school. In 2016, they both competed in the Rio Olympics, and three years later, they got married. They then went on to the Tokyo Olympics and are in Paris for what they imagine could be their fourth and final Olympics together.
“We each thought we were going to retire at 22. I’m 30, and he’s turning 34, and we’re really proud that[we’re still competing]that we’re reliable. For a lot of our careers, we were the youngest — these amazing results, these guys that they didn’t see coming. We were out there, no hesitation, no expectations,” Lee instructed. 4. Gaël Monfils and Elina Svitolina
Tennis pros Gaël Monfils and Elina Svitolina competed in Paris. Gaël, who plays for France, and Elina, who plays for Ukraine, have been dating since 2019. Although they briefly broke up, they rekindled their romance and tied the knot in 2021. They now share a little girl together.

5. Gabriella Willems and Christian Parlati
Gabriella Willems and her boyfriend, Christian Parlati, are both skilled judo athletes. This year marked the first time they competed in the same Olympics — although Christian also appeared at the 2021 Tokyo Games. Gabriella, who represents Belgium, and Christian, who represents Italy, have been together for seven years.
“After a long qualifying break collectively, we are excited to compete on the same day at the Olympics,” said Gabriella Olympics.com. “For Christian, it’s his second Olympics, and for me, it’s my first after missing Tokyo due to injury. We’ve supported each other for seven years, and sharing this second one is a dream come true.”
Gabrielle took home bronze in the women’s 70kg category, while Christian and the Italian team will compete against Hungary in Round 32 on Friday.

6. Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield
Track and field athletes Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield have been officially dating for nearly two years. After knowing each other for more than seven years, their relationship finally turned romantic in 2022. Noah, who is part of the U.S. Task Force, and Junelle, who competes for Jamaica, have both been to the Olympics twice before, but this marks the first time they will be there as a couple.

7. Dominik Černý and Hana Burzalova
Slovakian Olympians Dominik Černý and Hana Burzalova each competed in this year’s race walking competition — and they’re set to walk down the aisle soon, too! The couple got engaged at the 2023 World Athletics Championships, just minutes after each of their individual races. Dominik met Hana at the finish line and then got down on one knee. The couple joked that they might even get married in the middle of the Olympics.
“We have been together for almost an Olympic cycle, almost 4 years, so I think it was the best moment,” said Dominik. 8. Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall
Tara Davis-Woodhall and her husband, Hunter Woodhall, crossed paths early in their scouting and discipline careers, meeting at a high school scouting competition in Idaho in 2017. While Hunter had already gone to the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro as a sprinter by then, a few years later, Tara joined Workforce USA as a long jumper at the Tokyo Olympics. After the games, the couple got engaged, and in 2022, they tied the knot. Now, they will be competing in Paris together.

9. John Chianca and Luana Silva
Brazilian surfers João Chianca and Luana Silva are representing their nation on the beaches of Tahiti as they make their Olympic debut this year. The couple have been dating for just over a year, marking their one-year anniversary in May with a cute post on Instagram.

10. Rossella Fiamingo and Gregorio Paltrinieri
Rossella Fiamingo and Gregorio Paltrinieri are competing in the Paris Olympics representing Workforce Italy, but in completely different sports. While Rossella is a talented fencer, Gregorio is a swimmer. And both have already won medals in Paris so far!

11. Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud
Edward Gal and his partner Hans Peter Minderhoud have been competing in the Dutch equestrian group for a few years now. The couple, who have been dating for over 15 years, have already been to several Olympic Games together and Paris marks their fourth.
