A 36-year-old woman from Kalamata filed a complaint against her brother for repeated rape and threats.
The 36-year-old woman notified authorities by calling the emergency number 112 on the evening of July 31, on number 112, complaining that the previous night her brother had thrown her out of the house where she lived with him and she had been wandering the streets and sleeping on an outdoor bench.
The woman reported that her brother, 37, threatened her with her physical integrity if she reported his continued rape.
According to the complaint, under constant threat of being thrown out of the house, her brother raped her.
The 37-year-old was arrested under the automatic procedure for the crime of domestic threat.
He was taken to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and sent to Autoforo, where he was sentenced for the threat to 6 months in prison, suspended.
The 37-year-old man was released and banned from approaching his sister within a radius of 50 meters.
Rape reporting process
A rape complaint case is being filed, while an order was given for an expert examination of the 36-year-old woman.
The woman was transported with a police escort and remains in a safe location, but said she does not want to be given access to the panic button app.
