Clashes between police and citizens
Using tear gas and other equipment, police tried to disperse a gathering of tens of thousands of citizens demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, according to Reuters.
In July, at least 150 people were killed and around 10,000 were arrested when riots broke out on the sidelines of demonstrations led by student groups protesting against restrictions on public sector hiring.
