“Saturday Night Live” is shaking things up for its historic 50th season … as two cast members have officially left the NBC sketch show.
Molly Kearney took to social media on Friday to announce their departure from ‘SNL,’ after joining the show in 2022. It’s unclear whether Molly — who was the show’s first non-binary cast member — left the show on her own accord… but their statement indicated that they may not have been asked back.

MK ended the message with a cryptic note… “Head held high and heart open.”
Still, Molly kept things positive for their farewell, as they called the show “a dream come true” and made it clear they were grateful for the opportunity. They also gave a shoutout to their castmates Marcello Hernandez, Devon Walker It is Michael Longfellowwhich they called the “Day 1 team”.
Molly’s announcement comes a day later Punkie Johnson confirmed his departure from ‘SNL’ … after sharing the news at his July 31 show at Brooklyn’s Union Hall.

According to Punkie, her fourth season on ‘SNL’ would be her last… though she assured her followers that there were “no hard feelings” regarding her departure.
“Saturday Night Live” usually makes casting announcements in September… just before the new season premieres. However, Maia Rudolph has already been confirmed as a returning alumnus, as she is set to reprise her Kamala Harris printing amid the 2024 presidential election.
Season 50 will premiere on September 28, but the host and musical guest have not yet been announced. There’s sure to be more news to come… so stay tuned!!!
