Israeli forces today attacked a school in Sejaya, in the city Gaza, killing at least 10 peopleannounced the Palestinian civil protection agency.
The channel Al Aqsa, which is close to Hamas, reported 15 dead of this blow.
There have been previous clashes between the Israeli army and Palestinian militants in several areas of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli military claimed it targeted militants operating from a compound inside the school, which was used by Hamas as a hideout.
“Prior to the attack, several measures were taken to mitigate the risk to civilians,” the military added, noting that precision munitions, among other things, were used for this purpose.
Israeli forces did not say whether there were casualties or how many there were, but accused Hamas of deliberately using civilian facilities, such as hospitals and schools, for military purposes.
