A far-right Islamophobic group has caused havoc outside a mosque in Southport, UK — not far from the tragic site where 3 children were stabbed to death this week.
Members of the English Defence League threw bottles and bricks outside the place of worship on Tuesday — where Muslims go to pray, mind you — and clashed violently with police… with videos of the tense scenes circulating online.
As you can see, these guys went all out… setting a riot police van on fire, with one officer even ending up with a broken nose in the madness.
Chants of “No surrender!” and “English till I die!” were heard over blaring sirens… with fireworks exploding and a helicopter buzzing overhead. It’s a harrowing scene, to say the least.
The unruly crowd seemed to be fueled by speculation about the identity of the teenager arrested in connection with the stabbing in Taylor Swift– themed dance workshop… which took the lives of three girls and left several other people seriously injured.
The suspect’s name has not been publicly released — and police have said the attack is not considered terrorism-related… and yet, people are reacting this way.

With tensions rising rapidly, Merseyside Police Assistant Chief Constable Alex Goss clarified some misinformation… saying in a statement that the suspect was actually born in the UK — not overseas, which is probably why these nationalists are so upset.
Clearly…they seem to think the suspect is an immigrant who committed a heinous act, and they are trying to make a political statement with this unruly protest.

An ITV reporter says a resident asked them what they were doing and begged them to stop — and some of the men apparently responded: “You’re the problem! You keep letting them in!” — referring to migrants arriving in the UK.
Of course… the town of Southport is already mourning the loss of three young girls — and these savage attacks are the last thing the community needs.
