Nicola Peltz-Beckham is formally taking legal action against the groomer who cared for his beloved dog before he died… and he’s come out swinging in a new lawsuit.
In a new filing obtained by TMZ … Nicola claims the HoundSpa caused the untimely death of her chihuahua Nala — specifically pointing the finger at one groomer, named Jony Ceballos.

Nicola alleges that Jony has a history of “intentional and malicious abuse of dogs”, further claiming that Nala was left injured and in extreme physical misery after being treated for a routine grooming in the HoundSpa van.
Nicola may be taking to the HoundSpa activity and its owner, Deborah “Deb” Gittlemanfor keeping Jony on staff — even though she says there have been previous complaints against JC about his mistreatment of animals.
According to Nicola, she has been emotionally distressed by the whole ordeal, especially since she witnessed Nala die after rushing her to the vet following the grooming — and says she has treated the pet “like she was her own puppy.” Nicola claims her other dog, Angel, is also suffering following the grooming, noting that the dog shakes/screams in terror when left alone now.

The actress’ lawsuit isn’t essentially shocking — as we reported, Brooklyn Beckham‘s spouse had Hired by lawyer after the loss of Nala — who she first introduced again in June. From the beginning, Nicola pointed the finger at the keepers… with the occasions of tragedy never sitting well with her.
She says she initially posted about Nala’s death to raise awareness, but decided to take action when she discovered that several other pet owners had faced similar experiences at different groomers.
She provides… “I have dedicated most of my life to saving dogs and I cannot in good conscience let this horrible act happen to any more homes. I will work for changes and laws to help ensure that no one else has to go through this sadness.”
