Greek shipowners support the effort made to relaunch the Greek shipbuilding and repair industry. In this context, the Neptune Avra of the Neptune group, owned by Melina Travlos, was “docked” at the Elefsina shipyards for scheduled maintenance.
In a social media post, the company highlighted: “We had the opportunity to visit the Onex Elefsis shipyards as one of our vessels, the Neptune Avra, is undergoing routine maintenance. This rare opportunity to have a vessel in tank so close to us allowed members of our office team to observe the shipyard operations.
Guided by the experienced professionals at Onex Elefsis Shipyards, we gained valuable insights into revenues and witnessed the dedication and expertise in the maintenance and repair of our vessels, along with the meticulous attention to safety,” the company noted.
It is worth mentioning that Onex Group Chairman and CEO Panos Xenokostas said: “We cannot forget that the fact that we are here today is due to the Greek shipowners, who have proven that the shipyards are competitive. They are more than patriotic. They supported the Syros project. Of the 460 vessels that have arrived at Neorion so far, 78% are of Greek interest, while of the 50 vessels that sailed to Elefsis Shipyards, 83% are of Greek interest. We offer all the solutions for the green transition of shipping.”
