Singer and actress Macy Gray spoke openly about his experience using Ozempic and dealing with its side effects.

Macy Gray Opens Up About Using Ozempic
According to PEOPLEGray opened up about her experience with the medication during a recently aired episode of MTV’s ‘The Surreal Life.’ The 56-year-old actress reportedly spoke to her co-stars about how Ozempic impacted her digestive system.
“Oh my, my stomach hurts. I’m really constipated,” Gray reportedly told her castmates, reflecting on the experience. “I took Ozempic. I can’t go to the bathroom and I’ve been up all night.”
The outlet adds that during a confessional on the show, Gray delved deeper into his reasoning behind using the medication.
“I’m kind of a vain person, quietly. I’ve gained a lot of weight in the last couple of years,” she reportedly explained. “So I thought, okay, I’m not losing it the right way, let me see if I can get one of those Ozempics.”
Additionally, Gray explained that she was trying to lose weight ahead of time on ‘The Surreal Life’.
“I was actually trying to lose (weight) before the show because I didn’t want to look super fat on TV, but here we are,” she said.
A new study has revealed more information about the use of Ozempic
Amid Gray’s recent comments, a new study has revealed more information about the potential benefits of using the drug. According to News weekResearchers at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine have been investigating the possibility that Ozempic may reduce the desire to smoke cigarettes.
The study reportedly drew on the experiences of Ozempic users with type 2 diabetes, “who noted a decreased desire to smoke while taking the medication.”
Additionally, researchers are reportedly investigating the effects of Ozempic in “treating tobacco use disorders (TUD).” However, the site notes that “further clinical trials” will need to be conducted.

Meanwhile, Gray isn’t the only celebrity who has recently opened up about their experience with the diabetes drug turned weight loss drug. The Shadow Room As previously reported, Kandi Burruss opened up about her experience with the medication in June.
At the time, Burruss revealed the Page Six that she took the drug in 2023. However, it failed to control her appetite.
“The sad thing about it is that when you see it working for other people and it doesn’t work for you, it makes you depressed,” she explained. “…It makes you feel like, ‘What’s wrong with me? Why isn’t it working for me?’”
Ultimately, Burruss explained that after she weaned herself off Ozempic and adopted a new approach to losing weight, she began to achieve her goals.
