Of all the connections and love stories that emerged during Season 6 of Love Island USAperhaps the greatest of all was the bond that was formed between JaNa Craig, Serena Page and Leah Katebalso known as the Powerpuff Girls (PPG).
While JaNa, Serena and Leah ended up with a few romantic dates — Kenny Rodriguez, Kordell Beckham and Miguel Harichi, respectively — it was their friendship that really enchanted fans. The trio recently spoke with ET’s Brice Sander to talk about where their relationship with the guys stands today and, more importantly, how they plan to keep their friendship thriving with potential future projects.
“Everyone says, ‘Do a podcast,’ but can’t we do a reality show, please?” JaNa exclaimed.
“Yeah, I don’t know about a podcast. What would we talk about?” Serena asked. “I don’t want it to just be Love Island-based.”
“We’re very interesting!” Leah said. “I think our lives are so much more than just[the show]. I think we have a lot to offer in the sense of, like, in the grand scheme of things.”
“Maybe a YouTube channel or something,” Serena suggested. “We’re conspiring! We’re conspiring.”
As for their romances, each of them shared updates on their situation with their men.
To Serena, the 24-year-old reality star said she and Kordell are “doing our part.”
“We have some things planned as far as the exclusivity of that,” she said. “You’re going to have to ask my man about that, that’s up to him… He hasn’t asked if he can be my boyfriend yet, but yeah, I mean, it’s getting there.”
The situation seems to be the same for JaNa, who explained about Kenny: “He hasn’t officially invited me, but we FaceTime all the time.”
There’s some distance between Leah and Miguel — as he lives in England, where he’s a professional model — but she says things are going really well for them.
“I really like him. I think I feel things for him that I’ve never felt for anyone before, and I know he feels the same way,” she shared. “I think we’re in a really good place. I think we’re just getting better every day and I owe him a lot and I think we’re really good together and I appreciate him a lot.”
“We’re always talking, we’re always on FaceTime, we’re always sending each other stuff,” she continued. “My family loves him, they’ve talked to him, I’ve met his friends, I love his friends. I just think we’re in a really good place.”
All episodes of Love Island USA Season 6 are now available on Peacock and the reunion will take place on August 19.
