Vice President Kamala Harris turned Atlanta upside down at his campaign rally on Tuesday (July 30). From challenging GOP candidate Donald Trump to “say it to her face” with a debate to beat Megan Thee Stallion It is Quavo for stage appearances, here’s a recap of the political festivities!
Here’s what Vice President Kamala Harris said about Trump at Atlanta rally
According to The Associated PressVice President Kamala Harris told a packed, cheering, and noisy Atlanta arena that the next 98 days would be a struggle, but that they would win in November. She also taunted Donald Trump for hesitating about whether he would show up for the next debate.
“The momentum in this race is shifting,” the presumptive Democratic nominee said. “And there are signs that Donald Trump is sensing it.”
Trump previously said he would debate Harris, but is now questioning the value of a meeting and saying he will “probably” debate her, but he “could also make a case for not doing so.” Additionally, Donald Trump suggested that the September 10 debate on ABC News should be moved to a different network, calling ABC “fake news.”
“So he’s not going to debate me, but he and his running mate have a lot to say about me. And by the way, don’t you find some of their stuff just plain weird?” She added: “Well, Donald… I hope you’ll reconsider. Meet me on the debate stage… because, as the saying goes, if you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.”
At the state that gave Biden his narrowest margin of victory in 2020, Harris held what has been a signature Trump event: a large, raucous rally filled with supporters chanting his name. While on stage, she mocked her rival and your running mate, J.D. Vance, as “just plain weird” and described their policies as retrograde, outdated and dangerous.

VP Harris Discusses What’s Next in Her Race for the White House
For context, Harris has yet to formally claim the Democratic nomination. However, the Democratic National Committee announced Tuesday that she is the only person who meets the qualifications to run. That means she will almost certainly clinch it on Monday (August 5) when the party concludes a virtual roll call vote.
Her selection of a running mate is also expected early next week. At that time, Harris plans to begin a seven-stop tour of battleground states to hold rallies alongside her vice presidential candidate.
Harris began Tuesday with her days as a prosecutor — drawing the contrast between the law and Trump’s Many Legal Troubles and misdemeanors. But she also aggressively defended the Biden administration’s record and said she would work to pass voting rights legislation and restore abortion rights stripped away by the overturn of Roe v. Wade.
“America has tried these failed policies before. And we will not go back. We will not go back,” Harris said, shaking her head as the crowd cheered “we will not go back.”

On Tuesday, Georgia State University’s basketball arena, which seats about 8,000 people, was packed with voters waving signs, dancing to Harris’ campaign soundtrack, “Freedom” by Beyoncé, and a performance by Megan Thee Stallion.
Quavo stepped up to the mic and strongly supported the vice president, citing his previous work with her on gun violence. He credited the politician for always staying “in action.”
“So if you’ve never voted before, make sure you get out right now because this is the real deal. And in the words of my brother Takeoff, let me get a ‘Kamala,'” Quavo said.
