Major companies in Greece are joining forces with the aim of professionally repatriating Greeks abroad through BrainReGain-Hellenism in Action, an initiative of the non-profit association “Hellenic Roots”.
BrainReGain – Hellenism in Action, was recently reinforced with two new members, the 3rd largest biopharmaceutical company in the world, with extensive activity in Research & Development and with one of the most powerful and innovative portfolios, AbbVie, and a leader in the area of medical technologies and health services, the SOFMEDICA group.
AbbVie and SOFMEDICA further reinforce the Initiative’s mission and provide opportunities for return and professional development to the Greek diaspora through their active participation in the BrainReGain Mentoring program and the BrainGain JOBS service, promoting more high-level jobs through their online platform.
On the occasion of its entry into the Initiative, AbbVie President and Managing Director for Greece, Cyprus and Malta, Lambrina Barbetakis, as a brain salvager, highlighted that the professional repatriation of Greeks is a strategic and priority choice for AbbVie, as they can contribute to the transformation of Greece into a modern and outgoing European state that invests in the development, equal opportunities and well-being of its citizens. Meanwhile, Georgios Sofianos, CEO of the SOFMEDICA group, added that the know-how and experience of all these people are invaluable for strengthening our healthcare system, both in the private and public sectors, but also for promoting research and innovation.
It is worth noting that the BrainReGain Initiative – Hellenism in Action is already made up of 48 companies from productive sectors (industry, technology, tourism, construction, retail, navigation, health, consulting services, education, etc.).
