Baltimore Orioles Catcher James McCann was punctured in the nostril by a 95 MPH fastball on Monday… however, remarkably, the man recovered and continued in the game!!
The terrifying scene unfolded just minutes ago during the Orioles’ matchup with the Blue Jays at Camden Yards… while McCann was handling the Toronto pitcher Yariel Rodriguez.

Check out the images from the sports broadcast… with the score at 2-2, Rodriguez let the ball pass, but it got away from him — and went straight to McCann’s head.
The 34-year-old man couldn’t get out of the way in time… and it hit him square in the face. Instantly, he fell to the ground in pain… as blood poured from his snout.

Somehow or another, McCann managed to get up… and after putting gauze in his nostrils to control the bleeding, he didn’t waste a second of movement.
No word yet on the true extent of the damage… but McCann isn’t done for the day yet — because the adrenaline seems to be, at least, flowing this afternoon.
