The terrifying scene unfolded just minutes ago during the Orioles’ matchup with the Blue Jays at Camden Yards… while McCann was facing the Toronto pitcher. Yariel Rodriguez.

Check out the images from the game’s broadcast… with the score at 2-2, Rodriguez fired a warm-up ball, but it escaped him and went straight to McCann’s head.
The 34-year-old man was unable to get out of the way in time… and the shot hit him square in the face. He immediately fell to the ground in pain… as blood poured from his muzzle.

Somehow, McCann managed to get to his feet… and after putting gauze in his nostrils to control the bleeding, he didn’t miss a second of the action.
The full extent of the injury is still unknown… but McCann hasn’t given up yet — as the adrenaline seems to be at least kicking in this afternoon.
