Lily Allen it says James Corden He used to be really friendly with her before he became successful — so much so, in fact, that he seemed a little desperate… at least according to her.
The British singer opened up about her history with James on her podcast ‘Miss Me?’… claiming the comedian used to beg to hang out with her and her friends back in the day.
Lily says it all started when James appeared on her old talk show in 2008… in her memories, James was super flirtatious and they kind of became friends.
From there, Lily says she introduced James to some of her friends and they hung out for a week or so… and she goes on to claim that James felt like she was cheating on him, but is adamant that was never the case.
Lily’s podcast co-host, Miquita Oliveralso remembers the James Corden days… and they make it seem like James was trying to climb the social ladder back then.
As Lily describes it, James was more of a “begging friend” than a true buddy… describing the term as British slang for someone who begs to hang out with people who aren’t really that interested.
James has since achieved great fame, and Lily says his begging days are long over.
