Britney Spears‘ home hit the market Monday — which made her fans think she was ready to get the hell out of Cali… but she’s not going anywhere, TMZ has learned.
Eagle-eyed sleuths probably noticed that BS’s Thousand Oaks mansion appeared on real estate websites as listed for sale on Monday — and it appeared she was trying to sell it for just under $9 million… at least based on the public listing.
However, despite the fact that this information has been published and spread far and wide, multiple sources with direct knowledge tell us that the whole thing was a hack… and Britney is NOT packing her bags.
We learned that someone hacked into the Multiple Listing Service — MLS — and posted the fake listing. Other real estate sites, including Realtor.com and Zillow, then picked it up and the fake listing spread like wildfire.
Our sources tell us Brit’s management team noticed the listing on Monday — which had some big-name real estate agents attached. We’re told Brit’s team reached out to those agents … and the agents said they had no involvement whatsoever.

It’s unclear who hacked the MLS, but either way… we’re told those responsible have already taken it down.
