Here’s Why Pretty Vee Sent Words to Soulja Boy
As The Shadow Room As previously reported, Soulja Boy called out B. Simone earlier this week for commenting on his music. Simone has previously said that she doesn’t think people request Soulja’s music. However, she also explained that he deserves respect.
Soulja caught wind of her comments and lashed out at her while streaming on Instagram Live. The rapper referred to the comedian as ugly while sharing more disparaging comments about her.
Soulja’s words prompted a response from B. Simone, who ultimately wished the rapper the best while doubling down on her respect for him. However, his words also prompted a response from Simone’s friend Pretty Vee.
“Don’t play with me @souljaboy You better play with others like that but not with @thebsimone Again she said what she said, now WHAT?” she wrote via The Shade Room Comments Sectionbefore later adding, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus, you living creature…”
Social media reacts as Pretty Vee speaks out
Vee’s words generated a plethora of criticism in The Shade Room Comments Section.
Instagram user @princess_trinity3 wrote: “The “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus” comment was kind of wild, all things considered…”
While Instagram user @joshytorr0 added, “The understated reprimanding comment might be bad timing, I don’t know.
Instagram user @iamrollingray wrote: “@simprettyvee your “reprimanding comment” was very disrespectful and ill-timed ⏱️! Read it and smell the environment!”
While Instagram user @itsjessybaby added, “That was a bad joke from prettt vee… super cheesy”
Pretty Vee later went live on Instagram to respond to the criticism.
“I would never, ever, like I said, disrespect anyone — especially Ms. Sonya (Massey),” Vee explained. “Again, if you disrespect someone by calling them by their name — I don’t care, that’s a demon… that needs help.”
Vee eventually explained that those offended by her words are taking them “out of context.” Additionally, she reiterated that she would never disrespect Sonya Massey.

Pretty Vee’s comment appeared to spark backlash on social media in light of the recent fatal shooting of 36-year-old Sonya Massey. As The Shadow Room Previously reported, Massey was shot dead in her home by a police officer after calling for help on July 6.
Before the shooting, Massey told a police officer, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.”
Massey’s death has since made headlines across the country. The now-former officer, Rep. Sean Grayson, is facing charges and an imminent trial for his murder. Meanwhile, the incident has prompted celebrities including Tia Mowry and Solange Knowles to speak.

Additionally, the incident also prompted President Biden and Vice President Harris to renew their calls for Congress to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. As The Shadow Room As previously reported, the act aims to make it “easier for the federal government to successfully prosecute police misconduct cases, end racial and religious discrimination, and eliminate qualified immunity for law enforcement.”
