Cristina Hall is speaking out after Josh Hall returned to social media amid his tumultuous divorce.
The 41-year-old HGTV star took to her Instagram Stories to seemingly respond to Photo of Josh on his story showing him on a hike in the woods. That post included a praying hand emoji. While Christina seemingly responded with a totally glamorous selfie, complete with a praying hand emoji as well, the Turn or Fail star promised to fight for what she worked so hard to achieve.
“I’ve worked hard to build this life for myself and my kids, and anyone who tries to take away what they don’t deserve/what they DIDN’T work for should be ashamed of themselves,” she wrote on her Story.
After referring to her ex-husband as “an insecure man with a big ego,” Christina added, “For those who don’t know… divorces don’t happen overnight… and there is always a breaking point. This one is personal.”
The divorce proceedings reached a boiling point this week when Christina filed court documents in which she claimed that Josh embezzled more than $35,000 of your money of rental income from properties to her personal Wells Fargo bank account. She alleged that Josh, 43, contacted her professional property manager via text message on July 8 and stated, “Hi. For June payments, can we send them to a different account when the time comes? Thanks.” Christina, who attached a screenshot of the alleged text as an exhibit to her lawsuit, further claimed that she learned of this on July 21. They filed for divorce on July 16, and Christina listed July 7 as the date of separation.
She further claimed that she “had no personal contact with Josh on July 8, 2024” and therefore “would not have asked him to wire my money to him the day after I told him we were getting divorced.”
When reached for comment, Josh denied any wrongdoing to ET. For her part, Christina stated in court documents that she will have a “full forensic accounting conducted throughout the entire period of our marriage,” which ended after two years and nine months.
Christina and Josh’s romance began in 2021, the same year they she divorced Ant Anstead. The now exes have a 4-year-old son, Hudson. Christina was also married to Tarek El Moussa from 2009 to 2018, and shares with him Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8.
Two months before Christina’s final divorce filing, was announced that she and Josh would join Tarek and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussafor the new HGTV show, The Flip Off. The show was designed to pit couples against each other to see who can find, buy, renovate and sell a home for the biggest financial gain.
After the news of the divorce, ET learned what The Flip Off is still set to move forward. According to a person close to The Flip Off production, the series only recently began filming scenes “a few weeks ago” and the team behind the series is still “figuring out what the plans are for the future.”
