The subject accused of Tupac‘s murder should not be released on bail because he once claimed Diddy offered him 7 figures to kill ‘Pac — at least that’s what prosecutors are telling the judge.
Here’s the deal… Duane “Keefe D” Davis has been behind bars in Nevada since his arrest for Tupac’s murder, but is asking a judge to release him while he awaits trial.
Prosecutors filed their opposition, arguing that Davis should remain behind bars in part because of a statement he made to officers in 2009 … claiming Diddy had offered him $1 million to eliminate Tupac.
During the conversation — audio of which has circulated online — Keefe D told Las Vegas detectives that Diddy had personally contacted him and his associates, saying he would be willing to pay to have Tupac killed by someone on the streets… which Keefe says he interpreted to mean that it was him and his crew, too.
Basically, Keefe D allegedly told cops that he and his crew were hanging around Diddy one night when he said in front of a large group that he would give anything to see Knight Suge dead… implying that he would pay a fortune for the murder, without revealing the exact amount.
Keefe also told cops that… after Tupac was murdered, he contacted Diddy through a mutual friend to try to get paid, but he said he never received the money.
Prosecutors argue that, at the very least, Keefe’s admission shows he is the type of person who would consider murdering someone for money — and therefore remains a threat to society in their eyes.

Diddy has denied, on multiple occasions, that he had anything to do with Tupac’s murder or that he offered anyone money to kill him. It’s also worth noting… there’s no indication that there’s any sort of active investigation into Diddy based on Keefe’s years-old allegations.
The judge has not yet ruled on Davis’ release.
