The organizers of the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics On Friday – the first time this will happen outside the stadium – they gave information about their spectacular plans, but without too many details, so as not to spoil the surprise.
The organizers announced that, among other things, the athletes will “parade” on boats, sailing along the Seine until they reach the Trocadero, that is, in front of the Eiffel Tower.
More than 10,000 athletesDozens of political figures with global influence and thousands of artists will participate in a long ceremony that will be watched by hundreds of millions of viewers around the world.
45,000 police officers and the gendarmes will be on foot. The army is also on alert.
More than 300,000 spectators are expected. Tickets were sold until 2,700 euros on the banks of the river for free and from the balconies and apartments the luck of having this view.
The opening ceremony is scheduled at 8:30 p.m. Greek time (7:30 p.m. French time).
The American mission will be led by the First Lady Jill Bidenwhile, as always, the Olympic missions are preceded by the Greek one – with flag bearers Giannis Antetokounmpo and Antigoni Drisbiotis – and last in the procession will be the mission of the host France.
What about entertainment?
The show is designed by the amazing theater director Thomas Jolly, a 42-year-old man known for the hit musical rock opera ‘Starmania’.
He brought with him a creative team that includes the writer of the French TV series “Call my agent” (in French Dix pour Cent, 10%)Fanny Herrero, as well as best-selling author Leila Slimani and renowned historian Patrick Boucheron.

The show is divided into 12 different segments, with approximately 3,000 dancerssingers and artists placed on both banks of the river, on the bridges and nearby monuments.

The music will be a mix of classical music, traditional ‘chanson française’, as well as rap and electro.
R&B star Aya Nakamura is expected to perform despite criticism from far-right politicians including by Marine Le Penwho suggested that an appearance by her would “humiliate” France because she is black.
French electro superstars Daft Punk said they turned down an invitation to play, while French DJ David Guetta was not invited – much to his chagrin.
