Vice President Kamala Harris, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton have released statements following Joe Biden’s decision to drop out of the presidential race.
Leaders took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to praise the president for his service to America.

Harris thanked Joe for his “extraordinary leadership” It is “decades of service to our country.” Additionally, the 59-year-old man is “honored to have the President’s support.” She declared that she would “win and win (the) nomination.” Kamala took a quick trip down memory lane, sharing that she met Joe through his son, Beau. They met because they were both “Attorneys general of their home states.” The vice president said the president lived up to the moving stories Beau shared about his father. Kamala described him as a man of “integrity.” She promised to “do everything in her power to unite the Democratic Party.” and finally “defeat Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda.”
Additionally, the former president and Joe’s “Dear friend” Barack Obama referred to him as “a patriot of the highest order.” The Honolulu native said he chose Biden, who is currently suffering from COVIDas his vice president because of his “remarkable career in public service.” Besides, he admired Joe “deep empathy” It is “hard-earned resilience”. Furthermore, he stated that he admirably led America out of “four years of chaos” created by Donald Trump. Barack ended by sharing that he and his wife Michelle loved Joe and First Lady Jill Biden and were grateful for their “commitment” for “freedom.”
Bill Clinton also shared his thoughts on President Biden’s decision. In his statement, the 77-year-old said: “He advanced our founder’s task of creating a more perfect union.” Clinton added: “Now is the time to support Kamala Harris and fight with everything we have to elect her.” He argues, “The future of America depends on it.”
