“If things weren’t so serious, if the rigor didn’t continue to break up homes, the ND troupe would laugh a lot and be exhausted if they staged a farce”, he incisively emphasizes, in his announcement, SYRIZA-PS.
“In the most recent edition, Mr. Makarios Lazaridis, New Democracy’s MP for Kavala, and partner “for at least a decade”, would star, holding a slice of watermelon by Kyriakos Mitsotakisas he himself mentions”, observes SYRIZA and adds:
“We are obviously referring to the answer given by Mr Lazaridis when he was asked on a television programme about the accuracy and tourists who send their friends photos of the exorbitant food prices in Greece. All he could say was ‘but in Germany you don’t buy a whole watermelon, you buy a slice’.
“However, in Germany, we add, the average salary is about three times higher (a simple search in Eurostat proves this, see, for example, the 2022 data here) – 46 thousand euros per year, compared to not even 17 in Greece. Germany also exceeds the European average for GDP per capita in purchasing power units, while Greece is in the well-known penultimate position with 67%”, stresses SYRIZA-PS and adds: “The numbers are endless, but over at ND they don’t care: the fact that Greek men and women live “half lives” is not a failure of Mitsotakis’s policy. It is his goal, because this is how the big venture capitalists that support him are served.”
“There is always the possibility that the government is worried about the Greeks: half a kilo of feta cheese for Mitsotakis, a slice of watermelon for Lazaridis, but also the “unforgettable” Adonis who said “what to do with the food, to reach 300 kilos?”, concludes the SYRIZA announcement.
