ScHoolboy Q Claims Toronto Police Cancelled His Show Because of Drake
The ‘There He Go’ rapper claimed his affiliation with Top Dawg Entertainment has stalled his Canadian purse. Q tweeted, “They just cancelled my show in TORONTO… THE CANADIAN POLICE DON’T WANT ANYONE FROM TDE PERFORMING…” Compton lyricist Kendrick Lamar is his label mate. He recently battled with Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham on wax. On Kendrick’s dissent track ‘Not Like Us’, he insinuates that Drake would not be able to perform in California again. Furthermore, he stated that it was disrespectful of him to use Tupac’s AI voice on his record.
As previously reported by The Shadow RoomRick Ross and his crew were recently in a physical altercation in Canada. The ‘Cross That Line’ artist also has beef with Drake. The two artists have had their own verbal fight in April. ScHool Boy followed up with another tweet, “TOP was just wit Wayne & Baby partynextdoor just played a show at the Palladium…” He added, “…if we wanted to get you, we would have done it… now, when someone gets hurt, don’t cry…” Q ended his short speech by stating: “I actually understand… No, this shit is hilarious… Iono, why did you put me in this fucking video?”
Social media reacts to ScHoolboy’s allegations
Commenters on The Shade Room’s Instagram report weighed in on ScHoolboy’s tweets.
@foreva_mrbrown said, “They didn’t take the ‘Not Like Us’ record very well!”
Another roommate assumed the rapper made up the story because he was afraid to enter Canada. “That’s (hat emoji) he just doesn’t want to end up like Rick Ross,”@jmoe1hunnit stated.
@tamy_fort said the cancellation was likely due to weather. “I’m Canadian. Yesterday, Toronto was severely flooded and there was no electricity. His show was probably canceled for safety reasons. It was all over the news,” she wrote.
@kbush99 agreed that this was likely the case, stating: “If Drake’s house had water, I can only imagine what everyday people’s houses would be like, if they weren’t trying to go to a show.”
@mrsott951 didn’t believe it and blamed Aubrey for the cancellation. “Drake called the police like a Karen,” @mrscott951 wrote.
“Respectfully, no one is stopping Wayne from performing in Cali,” @brassii31 stated.
Another roommate expressed empathy for Q, citing Ice Cube’s film ‘Friday.’ “Playing with my money is like playing with my emotions – Big Worm (laughing emoji) I would be pissed too,” @daniboi joked.
What do you think, roommates?
