It seems inconceivable that Steve Harvey would retire from his job as a presenter Family feud.
However, if the reports are true, if he doesn’t control his behavior with competitors, he may appear to be pushed out the door whether he likes it or not.
While Steve’s presenting style has always been flamboyant, producers are reportedly “concerned” that his behavior is crossing lines that even his charm can’t recover from.
For more than two decades, Steve Harvey has hosted Family feud much to the delight of fans around the world. His most devoted fans include everyone from Kanye West to Meagan Thee Stallion.
The latter recently appeared on the season premiere of Celebrity Family Feud and his wild response during Fast Money drove Steve crazy – in a good way.
But the same can’t be said for Steven during regular play. In fact, more than once over the years, Steve has had trouble hiding his irritation with competitors who come up with “stupid” responses. Typically, his interactions with players are comical – but lately, things have changed.
“Steve is king of the hill and has become an intrinsic part of the show’s success,” a source shared with Next weekly. “But insulting contestants and calling their answers stupid to their face is the last thing people need.”
Was Steve Harvey pressured into retirement due to bad behavior?
Now, as of now, fans can breathe. There are no reports that Steve is considering retiring or that the show is forcing him to do anything… yet.
But the truth is that if Steve can’t control his emotions with his competitors, he could end up falling behind. Pat Sajak as the next game show “forced into retirement.”
See, if the rumors are true, Pat was actually kicked off Wheel of Fortune after four decades because of how angry he was with the players at the end.
“Pat made a lot of mistakes and offended people with his inappropriate humor and temperamental behavior,” said one informant said OK! in the fall of 2023. “The network’s leadership and top producers have come down hard on him and accused him of being a rebel.”
The following year, Pat stepped down as host, with Ryan Seacrest should replace it at the end of 2024.
But what put Steve in that mood?
Still, Steve being a grump at contestants for ridiculous answers is nothing new. It’s part of what makes the show entertaining.
So why do executives feel he’s crossing the line? And what’s going on with him that keeps him from recognizing that he’s crossing that line?
To hear the Closer insider says, it has everything to do with his family. No, he’s not getting a divorce – people love to talk about it – but he’s still dealing with family drama.
“It’s sent people around him into a panic,” the source said. “They’re worried that Steve is working too hard. Maybe there’s pressure at home that’s getting to him and making him moody.”
One of these pressures may be yours oldest daughterLori Harvey, who has become a celebrity in recent years.
“Lori has had a high-profile love life that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, and Steve wonders when she’ll settle down,” the source adds. “Everyone is hoping this is just a phase for him and not Sajak-gate all over again!”
We hope everything works out for him!
