In its internal party electoral process PASOK mentioned the Pavlos Christidis Deputy for the Southern Sector.
In particular, Pavlos Christidis speaking in Actionemphasized the need for each candidate present a specific political framework for the reconstruction, strengthening and expansion of the party and how this will contribute to the country’s development path.
“It is very important that everyone who will participate has arguments that inspire people and provide solutions to citizens’ problems. I see with great interest that the world out there has a real anxiety about the direction things will take. I hope that each one, with their role and what they will say, contributes to the unity and perspective of the faction,” he said.
He also noted that there are many deputies and members of the Central Committee who they are waiting with great interest for this process to be opened to be able to evaluate each person and added that he himself will take a political position when the right time comes.
“Your citizens are worried about what is happening at the moment on our northern border, about what is happening with Turkey, about the economy, about dirty money. They are worried when they see firefighters sleeping in the field after fighting fires. That is why we are waiting for your proposals,” he added.
Demarcation of PASOK’s identity and personality
Pavlos Christidis estimated that it should have preceded the electoral process, a political process in which PASOK would define its identity and personality.
“Now, what are we? Who are we addressing? Who do we want to inspire? To change everything ourselves to become more attractive. And once we have demarcated ourselves politically, ideologically, in terms of values and organizationally, we must extend an invitation to everyone, institutionally, to all political parties, to all social agencies and to all autonomous forces,” he said characteristically.
He concluded by saying that it is very important, in addition to the large participation that the party needs at the polls, to ensure that these people remain in the party.
