Tam’s Burgers Shows Love to Kendrick Lamar
Tam’s Burgers has installed a massive mural of Kendrick Lamar outside its Compton restaurant.
In a video shared by @boomerdaclown on Instagram, the clip features artwork by artist Mike Norice. The footage features Kendrick’s face next to the words “They Not Like Us” in bold black letters.
In the music video for “Not Like Us”, there is a brief scene where Kendrick and DJ Mustard grab a bite to eat at Tam’s Burgers while a dancer performs in the background.
TMZ reports that Tam’s Burgers has stated that its business has increased by 30% to 40% since Kendrick Lamar dropped the visual for “Not Like Us.” Tam’s manager Lauro Hernandez and his son Bryan Noe told TMZ Hip Hop that customers have been flocking to their Rosecrans Avenue location in Compton since the July 4 launch.
Both Lauro and Bryan told the outlet that most visitors mentioned “Not Like Us” as a reason for stopping by. However, the restaurant continues to receive strong support from longtime locals.

According to The Shade Room, Kendrick was shocked after releasing the official music video for his Drake diss track, “Not Like Us.” Within six days of its release, the video had already garnered 42 million views.

The nearly six-minute video also features Kendrick’s longtime partner Whitney Alford and their two children. In another scene, the Compton rapper is seen observing an owl in a cage, which appears to symbolize Drake and his OVO record label logo.
