England and Netherlands fans were already feuding before the Euro 2024 semi-final even kicked off… with fans brawling in the streets of Germany ahead of the big clash!
Several videos showing Dutch and English fans getting into altercations were spreading across social media ahead of Wednesday’s clash. In one video, fans are seen outside a bar and restaurant throwing punches, chairs and bottles at each other.
All of this is happening in the city of Dortmund — not far from the border with the Netherlands. An estimated 80,000 Dutch fans are believed to have descended on the city to support their team, with UK police saying groups of “risky fans” are among the fans looking to cause trouble.
Police responded to at least one of the fights… breaking up the brawls and even arresting some Dutch fans.
A nearby restaurant paid the price for the fans’ bad behavior… with a local restaurant telling The Daily Mail that the business suffered major damage and would be forced to close its doors for the rest of the day.
There were also injuries — at least some that appeared to have been caused in the fighting.
UK police are urging England fans to be aware of their surroundings and look for areas with a German police presence.
The game is underway… and things have been peaceful so far. But, there is still a long time…
