Gov. Gavin Newsom recently said he would never challenge Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidency if Biden resigned.
Yahoo! News reports that the politician continues to support President Biden despite Democrats’ negotiations to replace the 81-year-old as the presidential candidate.

Gavin Newson has no plans to challenge Kamala for the Democratic ticket
Newsom said on July 10 that he would not challenge the vice president, who is one of the top choices to take over if Biden decides to drop out of the race. He also believes Kamala can beat Trump, but said it is “I won’t get to that point.” Both politicians came up through the Bay Area political world and became highly respected politicians. If the California governor were to decide to run, it could cause divisions in the party, in addition to the donations.
Joe has continually said that he is fit to run and will not give up his to fight for another term. Newson said he stands by President Biden and whatever decision he makes. “I think 100 media outlets asked me the same question and I think I largely answered my support for the president…” Newson said Wednesday at a news conference conference about the California wildfire.
Nancy Pelosi told MSNBC, “It is up to the president to decide whether to run.” The former Speaker of the House stated: “We are all encouraging him to make this decision because time is running out.” The governor noted that he had not heard Pelosi’s comments or read actor George Clooney’s book. Furthermore, as previously reported by The Shadow Rooma Tampa city councilman and Democratic National Committee member, Alan Clendenin, said Joe should “Step aside and allow Vice President Kamala Harris to advance her agenda as our Democratic nominee.”
Only time will tell whether some of the Democrats will get their wishes.
