Violet Affleck isn’t just capitalizing on her famous parents’ success… she’s standing up for what she believes in — in front of a major local government body.
The daughter of Ben Affleck It is Jennifer Garner appeared before the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, speaking on an issue close to his heart…keeping mask mandates in Los Angeles hospitals.
Check out the clip… the recent high school graduate introduces herself before diving into her first-hand experience with a long-term post-viral illness she contracted in 2019 — adding that she’s seen how medicine can’t respond to all of a virus’s effects.
A post-viral condition is the lingering effects after a viral infection that can last for months. “Long Covid” — symptoms lingering long after a person has fought off the actual Covid virus — is one example… it’s not clear what post-viral condition Violet had.
Violet argues that post-viral infection tends to “exacerbate our homelessness crisis, as well as the suffering of many people in our city”… while also claiming that it hits people in minority communities the hardest.
As for what she wants… VA is requiring the availability of masks, air filtration and far-UVC lights — germicidal ultraviolet lights — in government facilities, and mask mandates in county medical facilities. She’s also asking the county to oppose mask bans in any form.
By the way, Violet is still wearing a mask… arriving at the meeting wearing a white N95 — a face mask similar to the one she wore to Michael Rubinfamous Hamptons White Party in 2022.
Affleck turned 18 just a few months ago. The family has remained tight-lipped about their plans so far… but it looks like politics might be on the table!
