A few days before the start of the Olympic Games, the Hellenic Olympic Committee held the first screening of the film about the 2024 Olympic Flame, produced by NOVA.
Also presented were the two anniversary stamps produced by the Hellenic Post for the “Paris 2024” Olympic Games, a tradition that dates back to 1896 and the first modern Athens Olympic Games.
The event was opened by the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Spyros Kapralos, who, among other things, said:
“The aim is for everyone to travel safely and comfortably to France and have the best living and training conditions to fully focus on their main objective, distinction at the Olympic Games, the first to be held in Europe in 12 years.
We are pleased to have a big and powerful team as 101 boys and girls will participate in the main sporting event and I am sure they will raise high the flag of our country”.
The presentation of the film for the Olympic Flame was made by Nova Media CEO Kiki Silvestriadou, who stated:
“Nova stands firmly alongside the Hellenic Olympic Committee as a Gold Communications Sponsor and has presented the 2024 Olympic Torch Relay in the best possible way with the seal of the best journalistic team.
In this context, the unique experience lived by Nova journalists as they followed the Olympic Flame’s journey through Greek territory was transformed into a film and will be shown on Novasports”.
The film will be shown on Wednesday, July 10th at 10pm on NovasportsStart and repeated on Sunday, July 14th at 1:30pm on NovasportsPrime.
Deputy Minister of Sports Yannis Vroutsis greeted and wished the Greek team every success.
On behalf of Hellenic Posts, Chairman of the Board of Directors Daniel Benardout referred to the 128-year tradition of Olympic Games commemorative stamps and referred to the innovations of the two stamps for Paris, which show all the times that the Games have been held in the French capital, as well as the new sports modalities of the programme.
