Are you ready for a JoJo Siwa reality show? It’s the world prepare?
From wowing children in packed arenas to entertain adult crowdsJoJo Siwa’s career is changing — but it’s not going anywhere.
We don’t just mean her music. She may have finished Dancing mothersbut his time on reality TV is far from over.
Now, the prospect of JoJo Siwa’s reality show looms before us. It’s happening — but what will it look like?
Yes, a JoJo Siwa reality show is happening
Years later Dancing mothers has finally come to an end, creator Jeff Collins is reuniting with one of his biggest stars: JoJo Siwa.
That JoJo Siwa unscripted reality series, Variety reports, will be part of Collins’ deal with Sony Pictures Television.
JoJo is a young adult and she is famous among people who have never seen more Dancing mothers than the strange viral clip of Abby Lee Miller Behaving Badly.
And JoJo Siwa has a lot going on in her life without her Dancing mothers ties.
JoJo recently came out, is releasing new songsand is transitioning from a child artist to an adult singer. Clearly, there is a lot of potential material for a series to cover.
(Speaking of which, JoJo’s title track “Guilty Pleasure” from her upcoming EP will be released on Friday, July 12.)
What will the JoJo Siwa reality show be about?
According to Jeff Collins’ production company Resilient Content, as part of the deal with Sony, the untitled series will be a “premium coming-of-age docuseries that will follow the personal and professional life and career of JoJo Siwa.”
The description adds: “Cameras will get an in-depth look at her creative process as she charts her course as an adult pop star – evolving from the beloved child star audiences adored on screen.”
Plus: “JoJo will reveal what it’s like to be one of the most famous 20-year-olds in the world, running multiple businesses, fulfilling a recording contract and living on her own for the first time.”
“The stories will emanate from JoJo, told in the first person by her and those within her inner circle,” Resilient Content assures.
“For the first time, audiences will get a glimpse of her persona as she reveals who she is in the quiet moments, away from the bright lights of the stage,” the description adds.
Importantly, this may be part of JoJo’s image evolution. No longer entertaining little kids, but letting the world see her as an adult… while perhaps avoiding the Miley Cyrus (circa 2010) exaggerated displays. Perhaps.
This will NOT be your first reality show
JoJo became famous when she was 8 years old, appearing in Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition.
As an adult, she competed in Dancing with the stars —in fact, making history as part of the show’s first same-sex dance couple.
From performing at LA Pride to releasing her upcoming EP, JoJo’s career is in full swing now that she’s an adult.
This upcoming unnamed JoJo Siwa reality show could really help fans see her in a new light. To many (especially adults), she’s still a child artist.
While some of the risqué antics might disabuse people of that idea (she’s 21!), JoJo could do so much more by showing more of her life.
Sometimes appearing on a reality show can be a disaster. But it can also be a boon for someone’s personal brand — especially if JoJo has some editorial input. Only time will tell what the show will be like — or what its title will be.
