Madison Keys‘the groom found himself in trouble… because ESPN approached him at the wrong time — and they caught him with a fingertip up his nose.
The American tennis star was in the third set of her round of 16 match against the Italian player Jasmine Paolini On Sunday, when the ESPN broadcast switched to her coach and fiancé, Bjorn Fratangelo.
Wimbledon coverage picked a terrible time to zoom in on Madison Keys’ coach/fiancé Bjorn Fratangelo. “Take the camera away from him while he’s picking his nose!” Here’s how this was seen on ESPN. (H/T @rclaus07.) photo.twitter.com/atLuJHq3a3

@awfulannouncing (badly announcing)
Check out the clip… Bjorn is talking to a woman to his right when he puts his fingers to his nose and decides to do an uncomfortable dance.
He keeps doing this for a while… clearly trying to figure out what’s bothering him — and for some reason ESPN decides to stay on topic instead of cutting to the chase.
The moment goes on for so long that one of the announcers bursts out laughing and has to ask the cameraman to cut the scene for the poor man.
The reaction to X was mixed, to say the least… with some sharing his disgust while others pointing out the guy’s humanity — and sometimes even the best of us have to choose!
A sad ending to an amazing match 💔

@Wimbledon
Unfortunately, the match didn’t end so well… because Keys had to retire from the match early after a leg injury limited her movement. She’s out of the tournament now, while Paolini has a date with Emma Navarro in the quarterfinals.
As for the viral moment… Bjorn probably wishes ESPN wouldn’t get in his business!!!
