The Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban he -essentially- supported the election Donald Trump for US president in an interview and accused the United States of having a “war policy” towards Ukraine.
Orban’s comments came in an interview he gave to the media on Sunday. Axel Springer.
In the interview, Orban commented extensively on Trump and US politics, predicting that there is a “very, very high chance that President Joe Biden will not be re-elected” and calling it a positive outcome.
“I am sure that change would be good for the world,” Orbán said.

Orbán, who is widely distrusted by European leaders for his pro-Russian views and authoritarian tendencies, praised Trump as a “self-made man who has a different approach to everything.”
“I think this will be good for world politics,” Orbán said, adding of Trump that “He is a man of peace.
During his four-year term, he did not start a single war and did much to bring peace to long-standing conflicts in very complicated parts of the world.”
I “blame” Biden
He also criticized the Biden administration’s stance on the Russia-Ukraine war, calling on Europe to stop copying American foreign policy while predicting an increasingly bloody conflict in the coming months.
His comments came less than a week after he spoke with Putin as well as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The Hungarian leader said that peace in the conflict is possible when all the main players – the United States, China, Europe and countries at war – decide to sit down at the negotiating table.
