Maryland teacher shares an update
On Friday, July 5, White was TikTok to share an update. The professor explained that many social media users have been telling him to “get over” the viral incident. Furthermore, he explained that he was “chilling for a while” until something major happens.
“Guess what? Guess who finally got a decision from the county on behalf of the superintendent, um, regarding my employment status?” White said. “At first, I was really bothered by how long this process was taking… but now that I look back, I want to thank the county for taking the time and making sure I wasn’t some real weirdo who slipped through the cracks before they let me back in the classroom…”
White explained that people called him “everything under the sun.” However, the district’s investigation found that the public’s “baseless allegations” about him were unfounded.
Finally, White thanked the public for their support and explained that he will return to classes in August.

Later that month, White addressed the backlash. However, he also explained that his choice to allow students to dye their hair at school was “highly unprofessional,” according to The Shadow Room.
At the same time, The Shadow Room spoke exclusively to parents of children in the school district where White worked to get their thoughts on the viral incident during an episode of ‘TSR investigates.’
