This major announcement comes days after a source close to the Summer house Production confirmed to ET that Radke and Hubbard will return for Season 9 after the show documented their split in Season 8. The series began filming this week in Water Mill, New York.
Hubbard and Radke became close friends in Summer housefirst season of , which premiered in January 2017. After a few false starts dating, they officially confirmed their romance to the world in January 2022. In June of that same year, the couple confirmed to ET that they were moving in together and were “excited” to take the next step.
Radke proposed marriage to Hubbard later that year during the show’s seventh season. They were supposed to get married in Mexico in November 2023, but ET confirmed that they broke up on August 31 — just two weeks after Hubbard had her garden party-themed bridal shower in New York City, with several Summer house castmates present.
“Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard have called off their engagement. The two were set to wed in November, but Carl told Lindsay he couldn’t go through with the wedding. The breakup was filmed and will likely air on the upcoming season of Summer house,” multiple sources told ET at the time.
Hubbard got candid about Radke’s wedding cancellation, saying she was “blindsided” by her ex.
“How do you flip a switch that fast unless you’re faking it, faking it, or whatever.” Hubbard told ET. “How are you not surprised by this?”
In November 2023, at BravoCon, Hubbard opened up about moving forward with his romantic life after the split.
“I’m trying to think of who I’m going to date next. I’m kind of tired of these Bravo guys,” she joked at the time. “I’ve been circling that universe for a little too long with the guys.”
In February, she told ET that she was dating and had a change in her priorities.
“My definition of individual success changes as the years go by, right?” she shared. “I’m changing my individual success, so if I’m putting too much pressure on the ‘engagement, marriage, babies’ part, then maybe that’s not what the universe wants for me.”
Hubbard also told ET that she had frozen her eggs but did not plan to touch them and had no intention of becoming a mother herself.
And in May, Hubbard spoke about his new mystery man at the Bitch’s Bible podcast, revealing that they reconnected after their first meeting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Some of my friends call it a boomerang, where you leave the first time and it wasn’t the right time and then they come back,” Hubbard revealed.
She said that the initial separation came from her current boyfriend.
“He broke up with me, but he did it in such a respectful way,” she recalled. “I came back and was like, ‘Let me see what this guy said.’ It was the coolest text ever, because most guys just ignore you or disappear or whatever.”
Then, in December 2023, he contacted Hubbard once again. Hubbard said she “put him on ice for a month” before agreeing to a meeting.
