Katy Perry takes patriotism to the next level.
In honor of Independence Day and in promotion of her upcoming single, “Woman’s World,” Perry, 39, took Instagram on Thursday to share an all-American look in which she rocked red, white and blue — and nothing else.
“BB UR A FIREWORK 🎆,” the singer wrote, adding, “and speaking of work, THE WORLD OF WOMEN IS GOING TO WORK IN A HAPPY 4TH OF YEAR WEEK 🇺🇸.”
In the photo, Perry wears a rhinestone American flag bikini while striking a Rosie the Riveter pose. Her sparkly two-piece swimsuit features a revealing star-shaped top with dazzling red and white stripes on one side and a blue bottom with white stars on the other. The swimsuit connects with white rhinestone-encrusted straps that crisscross at the abdomen before plunging into denim shorts. Perry also rocks a bold red lipstick, red polka-dot headband, and dangling crystal earrings.
“Woman’s World” will be released on July 11, with its music video premiering the following day. It will be the new single from Perry’s upcoming seventh studio album, which will mark her first album since 2020. Smile. Perry recently revealed the single’s cover art, which was shot by acclaimed British photographer Jack Bridgland.
Continuing her NSFW streak, the former American Idol judge took off her blouse in a daring look who showed off her abs at the Balenciaga Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024 fashion show last month. The pop star went topless in a daring outfit consisting of ripped leggings and a long, open black fur coat that exposed her cleavage and torso underneath.
A bit before, she left little to the imagination during the Vogue World: Paris show, when she modeled a Noir Kei Ninomiya gown covered in geometric cutouts, seemingly nude underneath.
At Paris Fashion Week, Perry also made a style statement with her lyrics to “Woman’s World.” She turned heads at the Fall/Winter 2024/25 Haute Couture show in a red Balenciaga dress with 100 yard train which contained lyrics from his new single.
In May, Perry signed on as a judge in American Idol after appearing on the panel for eight seasons. “Well, everyone is sad,” she told ET at the time. “I’m like, it’s not like I’m dying! I’m just going to see you on tour.”
Perry is clearly focused on making a musical comeback — and she’s not shy about doing it in style.
