Looking forward to Starmer’s US visit
According to the White House, the two leaders discussed the their cooperation on the Ukraine issue but they also referred to protecting the Good Friday Agreement to resolve the Northern Ireland issue. The US president is looking forward to welcoming Starmer to Washington next week for the NATO summit, he added.
White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre said at the same briefing that Washington “concerned” about Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s decision to visit Moscow. This trip “will not promote peace and is counterproductive in terms of supporting Ukraine’s national sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence,” the spokeswoman noted.
