Chet Hanks is hitting back at people who use his “White Boy Summer” slogan to promote hate and bigotry… saying they have distorted his good intentions.
Tom Hanks It is Rita Wilson‘s son reacted Wednesday to a New York Times article highlighting the slogan’s growing popularity among white supremacists.
As Chet said… he does not approve at all of the way your sentence has been co-opted by hate groups.
He adds: “White Boy Summer” is a feel-good saying — as well as a song — that he described as “a celebration of white boys loving beautiful queens of all races.”
Chet reiterates that if the phrase is “twisted into (something) to support any kind of hatred or bigotry against any group of people, that is deplorable and I condemn it.”
It didn’t take long for his fans to respond to his message… applauding him for speaking out and clarifying his stance on the matter.
However, this isn’t the first time Chet has had to address his viral meme… previously explaining on “Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan” that the slogan — a pun on Megan Thee Stallion“Hot Girl Summer” — aimed to promote interracial relationships.

Chet, who has been accused of cultural appropriation for frequently speaking in Caribbean dialect, was also confronted by the comedian Ziwe Fumudoh on her Showtime show when she asked if he wanted to apologize.
He refused at the time, as he believed he had done nothing offensive.
