Cardi B scored a top 10 hit for a new album in March with the release of “Enough (Miami)”… but an Oklahoma rapper is claiming Cardi and her producers stole his secret ingredient!!!
According to documents obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, Joshua Fraustro (also known as Sten Joddi) and Miguel Aguilar (aka Kemika 1956) claim that Cardi and company used parts of her 2021 song “Greasy Frybread” in their track without permission.
Fraustro and Kemika1956 say they released their song in November 2021 and note that it was used as promotion for the FX series “Reservation Dogs.”
The lawsuit also names Cardi’s record labels, Atlantic Records and Warner Music Group, producers OG Parker It is DJ SwanQo as co-defendants.
“Enough (Miami)” was released almost 3 years later on March 15, 2024.
Cardi has yet to announce a release date for her new album…it’s unclear if the lawsuit will delay or impact the release’s tracklist in any way.
We reached out to Atlantic about the situation… but have yet to hear back.
