Four civilians killed, 27 injured after Russian missile and drone strike in Dnipro from Ukraine.
Kindergartens, schools and hospitals were damaged, while, according to regional authorities, fires broke out across the city.
“This morning was not good for us. The enemy launched a combined attack on our city,” Serhii Lysak, governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, said in a video posted on the Telegram app.
Of the injured, 11 were taken to hospital and two were in serious condition, he said.
Lisak posted images of emergency crews removing broken glass and putting out fires.
The Ukrainian Air Force said Russian forces attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with seven missiles and five Shahed drones. The air defense forces managed to shoot down five missiles and all the drones, it said.
Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov declared mourning for tomorrow. He said two schools and three kindergartens had been damaged, with many windows broken. Missile debris hit a children’s hospital and two other hospital buildings were damaged. Officials said damage was also caused to commercial buildings.
