Yemen’s Houthi rebels announced yesterday that they, together with the self-proclaimed “Islamic Resistance in Iraq”, had launched a cruise missile attack on a “vital target” in Haifa, Israel.
During the briefing broadcast by Al Masirah, Houthi spokesman Yahya Sharia called the attack a success. He also announced that the Houthis will continue to attack Israel until the end of the war in the Gaza Strip.
Since last November, Yemeni rebels aligned with Iran have launched frequent missile and drone attacks on Israeli cities and commercial ships in the Red Sea that are linked to Israel, in what they say is a show of solidarity with the people of the Palestinian Authority.
