Good news, bad news for Shohei Ohtani — The good news?? He hit his 27th home run of the season on Tuesday. The bad news?? The ball landed right on a kid’s head.
The dinger fell during the seventh inning of the LA Dodgers’ 6-5 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks… when he caught Justin Martinezthrow over 400 feet and into the right field bleachers.

The hit had an exit velocity of 110 miles per hour… and unfortunately, one young fan felt it, swatting the ball off his forehead as a handful of spectators tried to catch it.
There’s no word on how the young man is doing… but we hope he at least got some ice after the incident.
Speaking of Ohtani bombs, the highlight came just before the Japanese star announced he won’t be competing in this year’s Home Run Derby… as he continues to recover from his elbow injury.
There’s a good chance the Dodgers will find the kid and give him some merch… but we think he’d feel MUCH better if he had a quick meeting with the $700 million man.
Rest easy, kid!!
