Mathios Pyrimaha expects to be on a growth trajectory from the current financial year onwards, as emphasized by the company’s management during the ordinary general meeting of its shareholders.
In particular, brief reference was made to new perspectives, such as the development of innovative materials, expansion into new markets and the establishment of strategic partnerships.
Management assured shareholders that the company remains on the path to viability. Particular emphasis is placed on rationalizing expenses and strengthening exports, which are also the spearhead for Mathios Pyrimaha, with a focus on the Balkan market. During the ordinary general meeting of shareholders, all items on the agenda were approved and shareholders exchanged opinions and suggestions for improving financial performance. Management, respecting their proposals, underlined its commitment to implementing the strategies.
Taking stock of the previous year, management highlighted that 2023 was characterized by high uncertainty. For 2024, the company expects to implement projects in which Mathios Pyrimaha has a significant advantage due to the quality materials it produces to meet the needs of industry and construction.
It should be noted that the Greek listed company has been operating in the market since 1890, has a modern production unit and has an active and uninterrupted presence in the field of refractory materials and, subsequently, artificial stone and construction materials. Many of the Group’s products have characteristics that promote sustainable development.
They are produced from recyclable natural materials, they are not quarry-extracted products, they are 100% recyclable, as are the packaging materials. The facing stones produced are lightweight and can be applied in external thermal insulation systems.
Furthermore, the Group’s specialist products have received Class A+ certification for indoor air quality in terms of the concentration of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from Société Analytique, which means that they have a low chemical footprint in the atmosphere. Furthermore, the Group participated in the “Research – Create – Innovate” initiative, the main objective of which is to connect research and innovation with entrepreneurship and to strengthen the competitiveness, productivity and extroversion of companies in international markets, in order to transition to high-quality innovative entrepreneurship and increase internal added value.
The objective of this action was the recycling of used refractories from various industrial sectors for the production of aluminosilicate bricks and refractory masses. It should be noted that the Group installed photovoltaic systems on the roof of the headquarters in Rentis in 2024 and the start of net metering is expected.
