Keke Jabbar has passed away at the age of 42, according to his family. News of the Love & Marriage: Huntsville star’s death hit social media platforms on Tuesday (July 2).
She is survived by her husband of nearly 17 years, Ameen Jabbar. The couple married in December 2007, by SportskeedaThey have three children together: Ace, Aubree and Amaree.
Keke Jabbar’s family speaks out about her death
Marcella Speaks, blogger and social media personality, shared the family’s statement during a YouTube live stream. The 42-year-old woman passed away “peacefully at home” surrounded by loved ones. However, at this time, her cause of death remains unknown.
“It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love. She was a mother, sister and great friend full of life, love and laughter. She will be greatly missed and at this time we ask for respect and privacy in our time of grief as we process this great loss,” said the statement signed by the Jabbar family and the Scott family.
Keke Jabbar’s cousin, LaTisha Moore Scott, also confirmed her death in a social media post on Tuesday.
“At this time, we ask for RESPECT and PRIVACY in our time of grief as we process this great loss! This is difficult for our family,” LaTisha wrote. “This is hard on our family,” she added in the caption.

On May 22, Keke Jabbar shared a post celebrating her firstborn Amaree’s high school graduation. She thanked her village for helping her son get to this point in life!
“My firstborn graduated high school yesterday and it was such an exciting experience!! I didn’t expect 18 years to go by so fast! We are so proud of you Amaree. Go shine like the star you are!!! I have to thank everyone who helped us raise this little boy!! We did an amazing job! I owe it to my grandparents, my parents, my family, my best friends, his coaches and everyone who has supported him over the years!! Thank you to everyone who came out to support him…” Keke wrote.
O last available post on her Instagram page is dated May 26. It is a clip of Keke Jabbar enjoying a sunny day with her loved ones by the pool for Memorial Day weekend. In the post, she revealed that she was working on a line of swim wigs, specifically for black girls.
