Local showers are forecast for today, Tuesday 2 July, in the Ionian and continental regions, and isolated thunderstorms in Epirus, Macedonia and Thessaly from midday.
At night in most areas the weather will improve and the phenomena will be locally limited in Central and Eastern Macedonia. In the rest of the country, generally clear weather with scattered clouds from midday to the north.
The westerlies will blow from the south and gradually from the westerly directions 3 to 5 Beaufort. In the east they will be variable 3 to 4 and gradually from the southerly directions locally up to 5 Beaufort and only in the Aegean they will blow from the northerly directions 3 to 5 and in the local temporary southeasterly 6 Beaufort, gradually turning to the west southwest with the same intensity.
Meteorological conditions favor the transport of African dust to the west and south.
The temperature will drop slightly in the northwest, but in the rest of the country it will remain at the same levels and will reach 37 to 38 degrees on the mainland, while in the island country 32 to 36 degrees Celsius.

MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: In Macedonia, scattered clouds that from midday and from the west will thicken and there will be local showers and gradual thunderstorms. Weather improvement in the evening in Western Macedonia. In Thrace generally clear, from midday scattered clouds that become denser in the evening.
Winds: Variable 3 and a half afternoon temporarily south in central parts locally up to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: 20 to 37 and locally 38 degrees Celsius. In Western Macedonia the maximum will be 3 to 4 degrees lower.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WESTERN STERIA, WESTERN PELOPONNIS
Weather: Scattered clouds that will quickly thicken in the north of the Ionian Sea and Epirus and gradually in the rest of the regions and there will be local showers mainly in the north and at noon and afternoon in Epirus isolated thunderstorms. Improvement of the weather in the evening.
