Mahindra Scorpio N variants to be updated with new features soon, spotted
Mahindra Scorpio N is seen with several new features. The updated variants are expected to be launched in the coming days, with a possibility of these updates being introduced on the XUV700 as well.
One notable update is the introduction of an auto-dimming IRVM, a feature that was missing from the Scorpio N but is common on many smaller, more affordable vehicles. The new frameless auto-dimming IRVM was seen on the top-of-the-line Z8L trim of the Scorpio N, which is also shared with the Mahindra XUV3XO. The mid-range trims of the XUV3XO feature a version of this mirror with a black frame, which is expected to be available on the Z6 and Z8 trims of the Scorpio N.
Another significant feature addition to the Scorpio N is ventilated seats for both front and rear passengers, a rare and valuable feature in the Indian market. This makes the Scorpio N one of the few vehicles, alongside the Tata Safarito offer ventilated seats in both rows, enhancing passenger comfort, especially in India’s hot climate.
Despite these upgrades, there are still a few features missing from the Scorpio N. The vehicle still doesn’t offer a 360-degree camera, which could be beneficial given its large size, nor does it include a camera-based Level 2 ADAS suite that’s available on the smaller XUV3XO. Additionally, the Scorpio N retains a single-pane sunroof and doesn’t offer captain’s chairs with individual armrests in the second row.
With these new features, a slight increase in price is expected, going by current market trends. Despite this, the Scorpio N remains a strong proposition for Indian consumers looking for a feature-rich SUV.
Powertrain options for the Scorpio N will remain unchanged. It will continue to offer a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine delivering 200 BHP and 370 Nm of torque and a 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering up to 172 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
The addition of these new features to the Scorpio N could also be extended to the XUV700, further enhancing its appeal. As Mahindra continues to innovate and improve its offerings, the Scorpio N is poised to maintain its strong position in the market by providing consumers with a robust and feature-rich SUV option.
